I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where I lived until 18.

As a kid, I loved playing video games, namely Pokemon, Zelda, Minecraft, Call of Duty, and CS:GO. That passion later turned into a hobby for making video game content on YouTube. As silly as it may sound, creating YouTube videos taught me a series of "hard skills," which heavily influenced my career: video editing, graphic design, and SEO. It was also through creating videos that I learned about the multi-channel network (MCN) industry, where I ended up working on a remote, part-time/contract basis throughout parts of middle school and all of high school. The MCN industry is almost singlehandedly what taught me about business. I was 14 - 17 years old when I was prospecting clients, writing proposals, and drafting contracts. Despite falling behind in the classroom, I dedicated myself to learning, picking up the 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss, watching YouTube videos from Alex Ikonn, and eventually coming across big-name entrepreneurs like Gary Vaynerchuk.

By the time I graduated high school (with a 2.97 GPA, sorry mom), I was working remotely as the Director of Channel Operations and Optimization for the gaming division of an MCN called ScaleLab. At that time, I had little desire to go to college. ScaleLab offered me a full-time role in Los Angeles, but I didn't feel optimistic about the future of MCNs, so I declined. Thus, it was perhaps by some splash of serendipity that, in the summer of 2017, I got the opportunity to skip university altogether, move to New York City (where I live now), and join Gary Vaynerchuck’s team, “Team GaryVee,” at VaynerMedia (September 2017). That job changed my life.

A little less than two years later (March 2019), I decided to leave VaynerMedia and dive headfirst into starting a marketing agency called Engineer Influence. One key takeaway I can tell you about running your own business and having employees is that it is a quick way to expose your flaws. Take that as you may because it leaves you with two options: 1) try to hide those flaws and watch your self-destructive habits get the best of you or 2) commit yourself to having hard conversations and becoming better.

Engineer Influence was acquired by one of my clients' companies, SERHANT., in June 2022, leading to my role as their Director of Social Media. ~20 months later, I decided to quit my job at SERHANT. to go back to my entrepreneurial roots.

Today, I'm working on two things:

1) engine.fm – a tech-enabled agency specializing in podcast post-production, repurposing, and distribution.

2) rezy.io – my personal brand and boutique consultancy, working hands-on with select clients.

I'm also involved in a few other companies, projects, and communities, you can click here to learn more about those.
